The Ship Cook Training Course is a specialized maritime program that equips aspiring and experienced cooks with the skills, knowledge, and certification required to meet the unique challenges of catering aboard seagoing vessels. Life at sea presents distinct constraints, such as limited space, varying weather conditions, and multicultural crew requirements.

A ship cook is not merely responsible for preparing meals; they are integral to the health, morale, and operational efficiency of the crew. This course complies with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006), which mandates professional certification for cooks aboard vessels with 10 or more crew members. It covers essential areas such as culinary techniques, food safety and hygiene, inventory management, and menu planning tailored to the demanding maritime environment. Participants are trained to ensure the delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining strict compliance with international food safety standards.
