The Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) Training Course is a specialized maritime safety program designed to prepare seafarers for managing emergencies at sea, particularly those requiring rapid deployment and rescue operations. Fast rescue boats play a critical role in search and rescue missions, recovery of persons overboard, and assisting in emergencies such as ship abandonments or collisions.

The FRB Training, governed by the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code, Section A-VI/2-2, is mandatory for seafarers assigned to fast rescue boat operations aboard commercial vessels. The course combines theoretical instruction and practical exercises to ensure participants gain the technical expertise and confidence to operate fast rescue boats effectively under challenging conditions.
